Whatever you call or how ever you spell them, I am looking to replace my 25+mm "bad nasties" with 15mm figures. Who makes good 15mm Goblins/Orcs? 1) Made in USA trumps international postage 2) Noncartoony 3) 18mm acceptable – just think of them as "large economy sized" orcs/goblins |

Check out Splintered Light minis and Demonworld (available through a US distributor). That would be a good start. |

I have used 10mm orcs in my 15mm games as goblins. The scales are almost right. -Jay |

Khurasan miniatures, but his shop is closed again to catch up on orders. |

US Distributor for Demonworld link? Used both Khurasan and Splintered Lioght (plus Rebel Minis) for Science Fiction stuff so will check them out for Fantasy. Thanks. Any other suggestions? |

There used to be a Demonworld USA, but I don't think they exist any longer. Now they are sold by Ral Partha Europe. The Khurasan orcs fit quite well in Tolkien settings. I don't have any Splintered Light orcs, but I have a lot of their other figs and they are quite good. Eureka makes great looking orcs and Man-orcs (Uruk-hai from Lord of the Rings). Old Glory 15s has orcs under the Black Raven brand. Their orcs are a little taller than most 15mm manufacturers though. Their humans are closer to 20mm. |

I'd put up another recommendation for Splintered Light. Or wait a few more weeks and see if there is something new coming out soon. |

Splintered Light's stuff is fantastic. |

I have used Splintered light but the mass majority of my 15mm fantasy armies are black raven foundry made by battlehonors/old glory 15s or 19th century. They have orcs, great orcs, lizard men (my favorite), amazons, Giants, trolls, skeletons and neat general/wizard packs. Hefty and well made. No thin an less. |

Splintered Light by far if you are looking into US brands. Khurasan's stuff is also pretty good but with a very distinct LoTR look. If you are not opposed to ordering from the old country, Magister Militum and Demonworld (through Ral Partha Europe) are also excellent. Dimitri |

Love SLM. And I stump up for post and customs to the UK. |
