I went to the tall ships parade in Philly on 6/25 (and watch some ships come up the river the day before). I did get onboard L'Hermione for a tour and watch her fire a number of her 12lb guns in a salute. The Pride of Baltimore and Lynx were also there as was a Spanish galleon.

The French built BEAUTIFUL ships. I'm somewhat amazed at the lack of "gingerbread" on the ship, with yellow paint being used instead. Must have been a poor captain!

White lower mast! I was told that was for french ship stationed in the Caribbean. You are a lucky man! Thank you for letting your luck rub off on us a little.
