Every now and then as a wargamer you come across something so inspirational that you think I must do that. A few years ago while looking at eye candy on the estimable Olicana Lad blog I saw that James had written a set of rules to go with his excellent Italian Wars figures. I thought I must do that. QRF had a sale on so the figures were quickly and cost effectively bought-albeit in 15mm rather than 28mm. Here are some of them.
Figures from Blackhat, Essex and QRF in a Spanish Colonella.

It is a lot of fun. You need some of these.
These too.
Some guns too.

Very nice. James seems to inspire a lot of people. After seeing his collection and reading his rules, I began rebasing and rebuilding my Italian Wars collection. Lots of work to do yet, I hate rebasing as the most tedious of tasks, but looking forward to the end result. |

Thanks lads. The rules are very good I particularly like the close skirmish rule. Inspired I thought. |

Ah you're welcome. I recall reading Hell Broke Loose might be published. Is that still on the cards? I forgot these Spanish swordsmen.
