Guys, This link will take you to the Bell of Lost Souls and a fresh news piece with some official GW comments about future plans for AOS. It quotes the GW "Ambassador" for AOS. Seems like they acknowledge that balancing forces for AOS battles is an issue and will be addressing it. Also interesting comments about the future of the current model ranges and the likelihood of new "books" as well as the "Warscrolls". link |

Well from this you can gather the following: WFB is Dead Once the new larger models come up the old models will be gone for good. |

And now this link, also from Bell of Lost Souls (bless them for carrying the torch forward into the darkness), explains a LOT and fills in the blanks. This is a RUMOUR but at least it actually makes sense and puts this initial AOS "Getting Started" Release into perspective and gives meaning and understanding to the oddities and incomplete feeling most everyone seems to be experiencing with AOS as it stands, freshly released, today. link |

The article claims they replaced the Space Marine statue in front of HQ with a Sigmar dude. I looked at the picture, but I couldn't tell the difference. |

I can only assume that the older figures will be discontinued with the same lack of communication seen by GW in the past. No notice will be given. It will just be one day and poof they are gone. |

The preorder says the box is $250 USD???? As usual they out do themselves. This is an easy one, I dont think I like it. I sure wouldnt pay that much. |

Interesting, I went over to "The Warhammer Forum" and they no longer have their Warhammer Fantasy or 40k Forums. warhammer.org.uk/phpBB |

Mithmee; that's only due to unfortunate Database issues, coincidental. Nothing's been deleted! |

Seriously Mithmee, why do you bother? Your profile declares no great interest in Sci Fi or Fantasy, your antipathy towards GW is well established yet you jump into every GW related thread with nothing but negative comments. Why does it matter to you what happens to GW, its customers or its forums? |

Seriously Mithmee, why do you bother? Your profile declares no great interest in Sci Fi or Fantasy How many WFB armies do you have? I have the following: High Elves Empire Ork & Goblins Dwarves Undead How many Warhammer 40K Armies do you have? I have: Dark Angels Guardians of the Covenant Eldar Harlequins Orks Imperial Guard How Many 40k Epic Armies do you have? I have the following: Eldar Space Marine (Dark Angels) Orks Imperial Guard Squats So just because I didn't put Sci Fi & Fantasy onto to my profile does not mean I have any interest in them. GW is well established yet you jump into every GW related thread with nothing but negative comments. Gee, with what GW has done over the last two decades is it any surprise that individuals just might hate them. Squats – Gone 40K Epic – Gone Man-O-War – Gone Battlefleet Gothic – Gone Necromunda – Gone Balance in their Games – What balance? There hasn't been any for nearly 15+ years. White Dwarf Magazine – Destroyed Now Warhammer Fantasy Battle – Gone So there is plenty to be negative about when it comes to GW. |

Don't forget mordheim. It's gone too. |

I'm right with you, Mithmee. The axing of many good lines has been GW's own fault. Year by year, their product lines have shrunk. Now, we're down to one, with AoS hanging in the balance. Is that REALLY what GW thinks they need? It's been due to their failure to recognize the need for a gateway game, for both 40K and WFB, that has gotten them here. I love Mordheim's setting, but building a more generic Old World setting, using mechanisms and unit sizes like, say, Chronopia, would have gone over spectacularly. Sell the minis in packs that feed the skirmish game, and market the notion of "scaling up" all your forces to the big battles game. Th Warhammer world carries on, and if WFB itself proper falls well behind it's skirmishing variant, it's not like dragging an anchor. Dammit, I have more than a dozen 40K and Fantasy armies because they stared out as me buying them as ally contingents, or "just because they looked neat". Then BAM, I have hunderds of orks. Drug pushers don't approach customers with the line, "hey, want a debilitating addiction that'll leave you a penniless wretch?". |

"Gee, with what GW has done over the last two decades is it any surprise that individuals just might hate them." Hate is a pretty strong word. I hate Nazis. But they killed millions. I would think that the best I could do is a dislike, perhaps, more likely I would just shop elsewhere. |

at least GW is having Blood Bowl 2, Space Hulk, and WarHammer coming soon. To computers and consoles. |

Sometimes the word "hate" is so poorly used. And then listing all those rules systems as "gone"? They're not gone, just not being sold any longer, and people can still get them if they want them, just like so many other game systems in the world. It's not the end of the world, and as long as one takes creative responsibiltiy for their own entertainment, then one's anger can subside, and peace and joy could still be experienced by those who are so upset. |

Mithmee; that's only due to unfortunate Database issues, coincidental Still interesting on the timing. Maybe they decide to have this glitch so individuals could not complain about AoS. |

Mithme my brother gamer:) give it a rest man. All your angst will not one iota of difference to GW, make. Take all those armies you are always talking about and put them to battle….. Better yet add pics and AARs so we can all enjoy seeing your lads in action ;) WHF dead?!?! Come on…….. You don't buy or play their new stuff anyway, you gonna tell all your Lads they are "Dead"???? Don't want to be around when they give you that look and start sharpening their blades and loading their weapons …….. Maybe you should back out the door slowly. And then run! :D LOL |

Don't forget mordheim. It's gone too. *Sigh* That was an awesome game… |
Wonkothesane | 10 Jul 2015 11:43 a.m. PST |
………….and still being played………even at Warhammer World. IMHO the people with any right to grate their teeth over AoS are:- -any 40K players who have taken out a recent White Dwarf sub, mistakenly believing it a safe bet that it would remain an almost exclusively 40K mag -sellers of any wargames rules who are struggling to convince cheapskate gamers of all flavours who have no respect for IP law and think everyone should subsidise their personal interests with free rules. |

Gee, I didn't know that once a company releases a game they have to support it for eternity…Hey Milton Bradley! Where's my Thunder Road expansions?!? |
DS6151 | 10 Jul 2015 1:09 p.m. PST |
*Sigh* That was an awesome game… You know, you can still play it. |
Mithmee | 10 Jul 2015 2:02 p.m. PST |
you gonna tell all your Lads they are "Dead"???? Well that guy's Dark Elves from that burning video sure are dead. Okay melted but for a plastic model that is about the same. |
The Angry Piper | 12 Jul 2015 3:04 p.m. PST |
Mordheim was a free download (as was Necromunda) on GW's UK site. Not sure if that's still the case, but I got mine. Might be worth a look. Both games were too good to drop, IMHO. |
