"In one of the largest operations of the US-led coalition, airstrikes have targeted "Islamic State" positions in Iraq and Syria. There were a total of 38 airstrikes reported in the operation on militant-held positions. The US-led coalition said the strikes against the group "Islamic State" (IS) had been one of its most sustained air operations carried out to date. Well, 38 is better than 2 per day, I suspect, but still pretty anemic if you want to deal effectively with the problem. I've seen more aerial sorties than that for local wild fires. |

A good start … now lets not only keep it up but increase it … IS also counterattacked despite the airstrikes and retook Ain Issa. Dozens of Kurds reported dead and wounded….
