Just a heads up, I have started getting "..this bastard ripped me off.." emails again based on my post here last year about the scam painting service: Battlegrounds Wargaming Painting Service

TMP link

It seems that the scumbag Sean Duncan is up to his old tricks again, taking peoples models and money and never coming through with any finished work.
He was taken to court over this activity last year by a group of ripped off customers (Myself included) but after the required contrition and "offer to victims" he has gone straight back to the schemes he was running before.

He even has the cheek to post a "charity" donation offer on his website now.

Take this as a warning, do not send this scumbag any money or figures, he will rip you off. He is a consummate liar and very accomplished fraudster. Please copy this warning to your local clubs or gaming fora.

Copied to American Gaming board as several of his victims have been US Gamers, he is based in Ontario Canada (no Canadian Gaming crosspost link?)
Also to 28mm Sci-Fi as his adverts feature 40K and Sci Fi models as this seems to be his preferred target…..although from experience I know he will steal any types of figures that he can get hold of.

Seeing as this is a reputation based industry, whether or not your claims are valid, this is pretty damaging stuff.

So, are you going back to court?

49M: Last mail I got a few days ago a very displeased customer/victim was planning to drop around to see Sean Duncan in person (taking a Police Officer from Peel Police with him).
Bit of a drive for him apparently but presumably the $$ involved were enough to make it worthwhile.

Balthazar: Just the tip of the iceberg unfortunately.

Might want to post to the Consumer Affairs board, generally the place for complaints or identification of scammers.

I was curious and did a search for this guy. Appears he has/had a Twitter account referring to Battlegrounds Wargaming. His account is @seanduncan16. I am assuming the photo on there is him. His last tweet was March 2014. I am not a twitterer so not sure if this helps.

Does anyone know who the UK part of this business is? Considering that Battlegrounds is allegedly Canada and UKs best painting service would like to know who this scumbag is using in the UK.
