Just to let you all know that Jim Klein and I have been working on the newest Full Thrust Fleet Book – the NAC. We expect that it will become available in the near future – it is still in the editing phase.

Here is a preview of a new ship and technology for the NAC:

William the Conqueror Advanced Area screen ship.

This is an experimental test bed ship for a new technology; the Advanced Area screen. This ship is intended to help screen ships against Kra'Vak K-Gun fire, and it can protect all ships within a 6" "bubble" around itself, although enemy ships that come closer than 6" ignore the Area screen.

The ship, in the Fleet book description, is experimental, and is not intended for combat. Due to it's nature and the hastiness of the conversion, there are exposed power conduits on the exterior of the ship. This gives the ship a "Flawed Design" SSD icon, and scoring a hit on it due to a Threshold check will result in the ships immediate destruction.

The ship is based upon a battle cruiser hull, but uses the front command module from a Strike cruiser (escort cruiser will work as it is the same).

There will be a more refined battleship version in the Fleet book as well.

There should also be a how-to pictorial for both ships in the Fleet book for those who might want to make their own ship(s).
