Last night I ran a Colonial Gothic style RPG. Set during the American Revolution, the campaign's fantastical universe will also include magical, supernatural, and science fiction elements. Characters are spies for the Continental Army. A brief discussion of the game is on my blog – link Anyway, I am interested in getting some miniatures for future sessions. I'd prefer 15mm but am not wedded to that. Right now, I need a backwoods ranger-type, a female rogue, and a scientist. I'll also need some enemies (British soldiers, supernatural creatures, etc). Rebel Minis have some Pirate figures that are promising. I'm wondering if there are any figures that look more "lacepunk." Any other recommendations? |

I would recommend a look through the Peter Pig ranges. The pirate range have a set of female pirate captains which might provide a rogue along, with a separate set of females including a normal looking civilian with a pistol. The governor and his priest are also nice personalities. The AWI range have a good British soldiers both in dress uniforms and campaign dress and the militia in bandanas/headscarves would make a good backwoods type. |

A "female rogue" in the American Revolution? Seriously? Do you mean Peggy Shippen or Mrs Loring? Or someone with a corset wearing a tricorne? Time to get off my high horse I guess. But in 28mm Eureka makes done cute female pirates. And try Old Glory for some vignette packs, particularly the Governor and Creepy Assistants. |
