I had the pleasure (except for the ear shattering whine of the start up carts) of being at Offut AFB when the RAF was doing some kind of joint training/deployment with SAC and we had three of these fantastic aircraft stationed there. Aside from the start up noise and their incredible good looks, I remember being stunned at how sharply the could turn at low altitude and speed. They were the stars of Armed Forces Day even when we had an SR-71 and the Thunderbirds (well co-stars with the Thunderbirds). |

Iloved watching you guys fly over our elementary school,in the afternoons,pissing off our teachers as we ran to the windows to watch ,in the sixties. One of you guys even drove around in a VW thing w/ a RAF paint scheme w/ roundels on it in Bellevue. You guys were our Nuclear deterent in Omaha,thanx for the flyovers juergen in Omaha. |

As a child in the '60s I remember going to the airshow at RAF Finningley and seeing Vulcans flying in formation. Glory Days. |

I remember the Vulcan that was used as a flying test bed for the Concorde engines going round and round over our house. That was loud! |
