I am looking for 28mm figures of US paratroopers carrying and/or firing panzerfausts. Any clues? Years ago, I read James Gavin's book, On to Berlin, in which he talks about how when he commanded the 82nd they collected all the panzerfausts he could find and filled 2.5T trucks with them for his men to use. Last week I was at the 82nd Airborne Division museum on Ft. Bragg, and they showed how Gavin had the operating instructions translated into English. I would love to add some Americans using panzerfausts to my skirmish games. It seems they are available in 15mm, but I haven't found them in 28mm yet. Buck |

You could probably convert some 28mm plastic figures. |

I don't think there are any cast as such, but it's a pretty easy conversion. For example: take these BTD figures link trim the 'zooks and add plastic panzerfaust heads from the Warlord sprue. These would do for glider infantry, but as I say it's not a hard conversion to do one of the various manufacturers' paratroopers. |

The warlord spruce? Which set? 28mm? |

Warlord makes several sets of 28 mm plastic Germans, for Panzerfausts you might want to look for "German Infantry" or "German Grenadiers" sets. Not sure how many panzerfausts are included per sprue. Alternatively, you could try looking for separately supplied metal panzerfausts, like this: link It is probably a whole lot easier to model them as being carried than fired. Just glue a panzerfaust to the back of the figure and maybe add a strip of paper/fil/putty to represent a carrying sling. Or if the figure has one hand empty, place it there (may necessitate drilling a whole first). |

Or, take a kneeling rifleman figure, who is firing his weapon, cut that away, and insert a panzerfaust. Might have to bend/modify the arms and hands slightly, but probably not too much. |

Here's the Warlord plastic sprue, which, now that I look at it, is, for your purposes, $6.50 USD per pzf ( link )-- you'd do much better to use the Assault Group ones Griefbringer linked to. |

Thanks for the pointer on The Assault Group. I have ordered some. I didn't know about these guys. I have been wanting to glue some rifles to a small washer to use as morale markers. I'll post some pictures after I convert some figures. Buck |

Find a figure which can hold a Warlord's panzerfaust in its hand … Easiest way, I did it for my "Soviets with looted panzerfaust"… |
