My son is thinking of using 15mm figures on multi-figure stands. His background is mostly 40K, but of course has access to much more evil grin

Anyone seen a variant like this?

I'm toying with the idea of using the Games Workshop Epic rules for 15mm. Either Net Epic or Net Epic Armageddon. It uses multi-figure stands and by all accounts it is a very good game. It shouldn't be to difficult to proxy almost any 15mm Sci-Fi army using the available army lists.

NetEpic can be found here netepic.org/netepic.html

Net Epic Armageddon can be found here net-armageddon.org

Gruntz and Tomorrow's War support group basing. Both are solid games.

Hammers Slammers: The Crucible uses group basing at 6 and 15mm.

We'll look at NetEpic (using 15mm Fow stands). Mostly I think he wants the 40K fluff

Future War Commander should fit the bill also.

I'm working on something but it won't be anywhere soon.

Epic could work fine. You can get NetEpic for free and it's fan-friggen-tastic.

I'd recommend NetEpic:Armageddon over NetEpic40k, but either should work fine.

I agree with Lion otS. IMHO you'd be wise to give Epic Armageddon a good try before jumping into this.

Onslaught Miniatures are going to be making their miniatures in 15mm. They are a little small when compared to other 15mm Sci-Fi ranges but I think it wouldn't matter if you only used their stuff. I think they have the vibe your son is looking for. Have a look at their 15mm lines and their future releases.

If you are on Facebook search for the 15mm Sci-Fi Gaming group and look in their photos for the 15mm Epic project.

Here is a link to the album, but I believe you have to be signed in to a Facebook account to see the album.

Unfortunately, the Critical Mass rulebook is unavailable at this time.
Warfare In The Age Of Madness and Alien Squad Leader both use multi-bases…
