Edit,
If you can't see it. The top of a plastic Cadian comes to the shoulder of one of the Sigmarites. Holy Cow.

Well, these are not exactly "normal" humans either. We'll see how future releases are going to stack up. I hear there are some elfs in the works…err…Aelfs… :)

This is basically a WHF space marine.

Fanboys have long complained that space marine miniatures have never been the properly scaled to begin with- they are supposed to be HUGE, not just a bit taller than normal, with most of their bulk really made up by armor.

As an aside, I wonder how many of them know space Marines started out as Toughness 3? grin

Done on purpose by GW.

So that you can't not use any of your old miniatures for their new Age of Sigmar.

This is how GW operates.

The base looks a good 2-3mm taller than older style figure, too. Another way to control future compatibility?

Yeah, those T3, 4+ save Space Marines didn't inspire fear, especially when shuriken catapults had a -2 save modifier. Zipzipzip!

Mithmee02 Jul 2015 10:58 p.m. PST

Yup, my Guardians Slaughtered many of Marines back in the day.

Then GW nerf'd the living hell out of them.

Wouldn't a more relevant comparison involve the new chaos marauders/warriors versus their existing equivalents?
