Spoilers.
Went to see the latest Terminator last night. After the last two*, I had my expectations sufficiently lowered enough to enjoy this one.
As the trailers imply, it's something of a greatest hits mishmash of T1 and T2 plus special sauce. Ahnuld did his mechanical best, and the father-daughter angle was actually pretty cute, particularly the drawings young Sarah did of her and "Pops".
As with most time-travel sequels, it's pretty convoluted, pretty much to the point of assuming T2 didn't happen (which was the case with T3), but you don't come into a latter-day Terminator movie expecting the timelines to really make all that much sense.
If nothing else, seeing the Mother of Dragons shoot the original T-800 with a Barrett .50 rifle was pretty cool.
All-in-all, not a bad movie, and certainly better than the previous two offerings in the series.
* T3 note: Although that movie sucked (despite my Claire Danes-crush!), it did have an iconic scene of Ahnuld standing in a cemetery, holding a coffin in one hand and blazing away with an automatic weapon in the other. If that single image doesn't sum up ACTION MOVIE, I don't know what does.
