This week I've added three more units (less flags and basing) to the Prussian ranks.
I've also discovered that I've inadvertently bought some very funny Foundry figures. Not funny ha ha, but funny peculiar – very peculiar indeed. Details here: link |

Perhaps the figure is meant to be IR6 Grendier Garde regiment, which had no lapels? |

The aiguillette gives their origin away. The cuff lace is also definately right for 1st Btn IR15 and wrong for IR6. There are no buttons, let alone lace on the coat front for IR6 either. These are, IMHO, dollies for future work which were once 1st Btn IR15. I bought them just after Ansell Jnr took over WF and Foundry were, seemingly, rationalising their stock and getting rid of old lines on the cheap. I think this pack (a one of one, one off) was thrown together in a hurry to get rid of cast metal – speculation of course, but………… |
