Finally got around to posting my American's in 15mm. They've seen many games of Bolt Action and a first of Battlegroup Overlord at this point. Full pictures at the blog.

They look great. What make are they?

They look to mostly be Battlefront US metals. Not the best figures BF makes but they look great after the awesome paint job and basing!

I'm going to do the same with some spare FoW infantry blisters. I'm looking more to play Chain of Command with them, but I'm sure they'll get some use with Bolt Action also as that's so popular locally.

Well done, VB

One thing that particularly interest me here is your bases. How did you make these, especially those with the removeable figures?

PrivateSnafu02 Jul 2015 5:00 p.m. PST

Thanks guys. I haven't got CoC in yet but it's primed and inevitable.

The figures are Battlefront. Mostly late war with a smattering of mid-war.

The bases are washers with Vallejo pumice to level off the figures. The removable ones are made the same. Slowly and carefully building up a circle around the figure. I also use Golden's fine pumice gel for that task. The Golden's gives me a more smooth edge for the inside edge and lip of the main base where it meets the removable figure.

Nice job painting and basing.

Good skills. I do the same for Bolt Action and Chain of Command. If the Battlefront chaps are too facially mis-shapen you can always re-head them with Peter Pig heads ( helps if you're a little obsessive/masochistic). Keep it up.
