Great stuff Oh, a period I really want to do. Who are the manufacturers?

Oh Bugger02 Jul 2015 2:14 a.m. PST

In order:

1. Khurasan

2. QRF but I gave them tatges.

3 and 4 Khurasan

4. Khurasan first two stands and QRF second two.

Interesting, the heavies don't look all that different from Housecarls of Hastings.

Nice stuff OB! Are they based for Irregular Wars? I have a mix of QRF, Khurasan, Corvus Belli and Viking Forge figures for the Mere Irish but haven't finished them (barely started). One day…

Oh Bugger02 Jul 2015 11:55 a.m. PST

By accident PAR yes they, are as Harry has used wittingly or not used the same base sizes.

Not suprising Vtsao they originare as a troop type in the Isles where the Viking influence was profound.

These look good, it's a fascinating period indeed, a real clash of cultures

Oh Bugger02 Jul 2015 1:13 p.m. PST

It is all that and I'm glad you liked them.

Excellent work Oh B, what rules will you use for these?

Malatesta150008 Jul 2015 2:58 p.m. PST

I really like the command bases

Oh Bugger08 Jul 2015 3:39 p.m. PST

Thanks Malatesta I'm pleased with them.

Cheers Ray. I'm going to use Hell Broke Loose by James Roach and see how it goes.

I'm giving some thought to the role of Gentlemen Adventurers in the English forces but nothing conclusive yet. Their presence mostly raised English morale as they led the fighting but their loss could lead to demoralisation.

yarr6809 Jul 2015 2:51 p.m. PST

Sounds interesting? I've not heard of the rules before though?

Oh Bugger09 Jul 2015 3:51 p.m. PST

You can read about them here.

Its a card driven Piquet style game written with the Italian Wars in mind. I've used them happily for a Flodden type game and I think they will do for the Irish Nine Years War.
