I was curious, how well do Early War Miniatures German Tanks size up with the 1/72 Plastic Soldier Company vehicles? I am not trying to match up specific vehicles but would an Panzer II from EWM be in the same scale as a Panzer III from PSC. Thanks, John |

Basically the answer is no, not really, but it's up to you. Many people stick to a single supplier of one Mark of tank, but are happy to use another for a different Mark. EWM stuff comes from 2 sources – their own designs and the old Skytrex range. the latter has been marketed in the past as both 1/76 and 20mm. The actual Skytrex-derived vehicles can be overscale, exactly on 1/76 or just plain different! (These are the ones marketed as '20mmZone') PSC are all 1/72 (or slightly bigger). This means that their Pzkw III is bigger than an EWM one. However, a Panzer II from EWM will just look smaller than either party's Panzer III. There is nothing the eye can single out to make a meaningful distinction between them. |

Thanks Beaumap, that is quite a help. I have no plans to mix manufacturers for the same type of tank, I think I will take a gamble on them. John |
