I've been thinking about it for a year or two as one way to satisfy my Imaginations graving. I really don't have any background fluff, but I know there was a lot going on at the time, such as the Dust Bowl, the Great Depression, and the Bonus Army march on Washington.
Some thoughts are: Cali and Texas split to become republics; there will be an equivalent of the Union, maybe I'll call it the Republic; maybe a Confederation of Sovereign States; some communists and fascists, labor and Blacks (some Republicans, some communist, some looking for a state of their own); I like the sound of a Kentucky Free State …
Being from SW Ohio, I like the idea of Cincinnati, Northern KY, and the Ohio River playing key parts. In addition to its duties on the river, the Ohio Naval Militia will have to throw some type of land expeditionary force into the fray.
