How would you rate a 57mm recoiless rifle (range, HE hit number, burst size, etc)?

I've read the effective range is 450 yards and capable of firing HE, Cannister and HEAT rounds.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Hmmmm, just a guess, but perhaps like that of the early US bazooka, e.g. the 2.36" model.

Sorry Im not that familiar with CD. The 57mm and 75mm were obviously meant to be an improvement on the Bazooka. I don't think they were that successful. Maybe class the 57mm as a Panzerschrek with a bit more range. Canister as 37mm AT Gun?

There is a description and range bands for the 57mm in the Combined Arms modern rules variant of CDII? It is listed under the weapons charts for Turkey as a hand held anti tank weapon. It basically has a range of 20", bear in mind this is before modifiers, 1 inch=50 yards, for direct fire and the penetration is 2xdie10. The HE affect against soft targets/infantry is 3. Bear in mind that the penetration values for CD and Combined arms might be different.

Howdy,

I did not have Combined Arms handy.

Using above, In Test of Battle (CD v.4), would probably look like:

HEAT: 6"/7/2x 12"/5/2x 18"/3/2x
HE: 6"/7/H 12"/5/H 18"/3/H

Ponder on,

JAS
