The Auxilia for the Western Roman army have been posted to the blog. link The information for the unit designation and its location within the empire was gleaned from Cheesman's work on the Auxilia. I know Paul Holder's monumental work is an improvement on the subject, but this was readily available and served well for me. link Studies in the Auxilia of the Roman Army from Augustus to Trajan, Paul Holder link Cheers, Robert |
