All,

I am getting into some 15mm modern skirmish gaming, and while researching I came across this:

picture

These are "old" QRF Modern US Infantry, and have now been replaced with newer (Iraq/Afghanistan-era) models.

I HAVE TO HAVE THESE!!! I'm sure that sounds funny, but they're perfectly awesome for me. You see, I joined the Marine Corps in '95, and the only way I can put it is that these figures look just like we did, humping all that crap. The uniforms, the weapons, the bulkiness of the gear, it just reminds me of how we looked, and I have to have some, ideally enough for desert and temperate climes.

So, any ideas how I can get my hands on these? Does QRF still make/sell them? Does anyone out there have any lying around that they wouldn't mind parting with? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

V/R,
Jack

You might check and see if Scalecreep has any of the older infantry. I also might have a small number that I'm not using, I'll check tomorrow after work. Send me an e-mail at irishserb@yahoo.com and I'll be in touch.

Have you tried asking Geoff at QRF? In my experience if he is always happy to help if he can.

Irish, I'll send you an email, and check with Scale Creep.

Fat man, I sent a request for info a few days ago, but I didn't have an email address, just the "contact us" tool on the QRF web page. Does anyone have a direct email address (and apologies if I simply missed it)?

Jack

Geoff is a supporting member here on TMP and you'll find him lurking about the ultra-modern board especially in the posts about the Ukraine. He's easy enough to find and he visits just about every day.

Glad to see you taking an interest in 15 mil Jack. You're gonna love it!

Geoff posted here a couple of days ago. He's the third post:

Give him a yell. I'm sure he has some ideas to help you get your figures.

Thanks, TGunner, I've been in contact with Geoff and he's taking a look.

How 'bout you quit runnin' your traps and figure out where I can get me some of these? ;)

Next batrep will be up tonight.

The only 15mm imperialists I have are Australians and West Germans (which can double for Danes).
(and some French Foreign Legion if I knew where I put the damn bags)

Not that I play games though..
