I just finished painting up Blue Moon's Fort Wilderness. It is a large set and includes a lot of cool stuff. It painted up well and didn't take all that long. With the Old Glory Army discount it was pretty reasonable as well.

Woo-whee! Excellent job!
Seriously, you should send them some photos for their website. They're always looking for good shots of their stuff.

Great job. I'll be starting work on my Blue Moon fort in about a week so it was really nice to see what you have done. Richard

To answer a few questions, I would imagine this fort could be used for the U.S. cavalry in the west, though it might be a stretch.

The fort is for 15mm. It's a bit large, but true to scale for the figures.

The dimensions are 17" wide and 22" long.

There were less than a handful of forts in the Dakotas & the Montana/Wyoming territory that had walls. All other forts did not have walls. Only in Hollywood movies do the forts have walls.

I've had the Blue Moon FIW range including this fort on my mind all year. Yours looks great!

Are there historical forts/actions you plan to represent with this? Or anyone else with ideas? Seems the forts I end up finding maps and reference for tend to be more serious (or at least more complex) affairs, Dusquesne, Ticoderoga, Beauséjour, Pitt, William Henry…

…I think I might go off and try to answer my own question (again, as I've done this before trying to justify the purchase of this) starting here:

Overall I like the model a lot save for the corners. Seems the historical forts uniformly have a much more pointed design there and I'd be tempted to cut apart the corners of the model and convert in attempt something more in line with those. Would be a good addition to the line to make a second corner option, and if they did make it that should be corner included in the set.
