I know 1:2400 can yield amazing results and maybe worth paying for a professional, but the detail doesn't really warrant it for 1:3000 – good results can be obtained by a base coat, a wash and some highlighting. I certainly don't wish to be dismissive; people use painting services for all sorts of reasons – wanting a high quality finish, needing large numbers, not having time, etc. If it's time then there are plenty who can show you quick techniques, if the quality of finish then, much as I am sentimentally attached to 1:3000, you might be better off with 1:2400 to get your money's worth. Sorry if I'm stating the bleedin' obvious and teaching you to suck eggs; just trying to help. Cheers, Nick |
