A mixture of manufacturers figures here. These are, quite well paid, mercenaries who fought for the Irish Lords in the Nine Years War. Also known as Redshanks.

Thank you Rhysius. In the front rank the mailed archers, axeman in red cotun and swordsmen are Feudal Castings. The lad in trews is Roundway, the archer with brat is Mikes Models and the fellows in the Acorn helmets are Irregular. The back rank are Minifigs, QRF and Essex. They do seem to look OK together. |

I really like these. They were called "New Scots" as oppose to the Gallowglass who were the Old Scots, well some of them were descended from them by the 1590s! Have you had a look at the Khurasan 15mm figures for this conflict? |

Thanks Harry. I certainly have Malatesta and I have a bunch of them. They are the best range for this period. I'll post a few pics of them later or tomorrow. |
