I love the Alternative Universe Star Trek, and one part of the 'Dark Enterprise' two parter is the attempted coup led by Archer. Has anyone tried a 28 mins star trek style civil war game. did it work? What minis did you use?

I've been assembling a generic spaceship crew for various scenarios which could fit into Babylon 5, Star Trek or even a Dr Who adventure. most of them are the old school GW Imperial Guard in jumpsuits and the rest are figures from other ranges, all painted a uniform blue (I don't have the right camera for pixs). For the commanders I use plasma pistols for phasers, and laser rifles for the rank and file

Another way for a Fed Civil War is you can have The Original Series political Faction versus The Next Generation political Faction('kirk' recidivists against 'piccard' deviationist style government) all with the same TOS tech level. More factions could be the Fed alien races wanting out. Complicate this with external empires aiding certain factions for their own gain.
Add the WH40k Rogue Trader Fleet, a Imperial Fleet from Star Wars, Khan taking a Starbase, a Predator Safari, Giger Aliens Hive Incursions, Gorn-Narn Alliance, PeaceKeepers from Farscape, a Ringworld with all the Aliens from Halo.

OK! Everybody INTO the Singularity!!

My idea for a Star Trek civil war would be something like when the Cardassians were given planets as part of a settlement and many humans rebelled against this. It could be that there was something so unpalatable to certain people in the Federation that they had to declare war.

Redroom, I like the minis you have posted, so I'll have a look at those. Skippy, I like the idea of the two Enterprise crews fighting it out.
