I have a copy of Warlord's "Pike and Shotte" on order. I have a couple of armies painted up for the ECW in 28mm but they were organized and based for FoF/R. I'm pretty sure the infantry and cavalry can be made to work with their current basing. But I'm concerned about the Dragoons. For those who don't know, dragoons in FoG/R are based in the same manner as they are in DBR; a large square base with a single mounted figure behind a row of dismounted figures. So how are dragoons treated in Pike and Shotte? Are they treated abstractly like FoG/R or will I need to rebase my dragoons to provide mounted and dismounted figures? |

Dragoons operate either mounted or dismounted. And have different characteristics depending on that. So I field mounted or dismounted figures depending on what's called for. |

I don't think your DBR basing will be a problem. The basing system is "gender unspecific", so to speak. |

I have read of accounts were dragoons did charge mounted in the ECW but I'm unaware of instances in the TYW. Will this make a difference to the basing? |

Technically no, though visually it would not be ideal to have dismounted figures charging and fighting like mounted ones. |
