SCOTT BOWDEN28 Jun 2015 7:09 a.m. PST

Friday night (26 June 2015) at Texicon (held in Grapevine, Texas), Frank Waugh hosted a terrific Waterloo battle with his three newly-painted 10mm armies. The rules used were Napoleon's Battles by the late Bob Coggins (Bob was kind enough to run a Beta test of those rules at my house many years ago).

To the best of my knowledge, the Friday night event was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Lots of conversation, sharing information as well as many laughs. Although I don't have any pics from the game, hopefully others in attendance will post same. Obviously, whenever a project of this magnitude is undertaken, a lot of work has been done. Frank did a Herculean task.

Thanks again, Frank, for a wonderful event!

Scott,

Good to hear from you again! Sounds like it was a great time and a good 200th anniversary event.

Bill.

Thank you very much for the kind words.

With this being the Bicentennial of the greatest battle of all time, Waterloo I put everything I had into it.

The look on everyone's faces made all the work worthwhile.

Having on of the greatest Napoleonic experts of all time on hand made it a special occasion for all.

For all that have not met Scott, you will not find a more humble, easy-going GENTLEMAN.

Having Scott there took it to an entirely new level and was a wonderful way for everyone to remember a once-in-a-lifetime event.

It was also fascinating for us Napoleonic buffs to see how an expert with 50 yrs of research and experience would attack Wellington's position.

Very well executed and a resounding French victory.

30 years ago I gamed with Scott right before I was stationed to Germany, almost 30 years to the day I had the opportunity to game with him again…

Scott is an absolute treasure to our hobby. Very glad I had the opportunity to game with him again along with other new players and I look forward to what the future holds.

I will do my best to post pics…
