The five keys to a great wargaming night are…? |

Well, when we were younger, Dr Pepper and Nacho Doritos! Seriously though here are a few from our group back in the day; 1) Good friends 2) Knowledgeable about the rules 3) No cheaters 4) Good losers and gracious winners 5) A sense of give and take, Renaissance my not have been my thing but others in the group weren't all that interested in the Civil War but I played their games and they played mine. |

Good friends. Everything else is secondary. |

What they said above. A nice looking game table with attractive terrain. Nice miniatures. A good, fun scenario, and a decent set of rules. Knowledge of the latter is helpful, but not absolutely required, if people are willing to do a little tutoring (one of the best ways to learn a new set of rules, in my opinion). Good, pepperoni pizza (preferably hot from the oven) and ice cold Pepsi. |

Could I add comfortable chairs/stools? When it's not your turn it's good to be comfortable. |

+1 jowady, +1 Weasel. They both missed "Good teachers willing to show Newbies how to play." |

- Good Friends (extant or soon to be) – Good Beer – Someone Who Knows the Rules – Good Beer – The Favour of the Dice Gods For me, good friends means good people, which imples gracious winning, gentlemen's rules, courteous instruction, well-mannered losing, and bringing more food than you eat. |

Free love, drugs and groupies. |

One person who actually knows how the game is supposed to work is helpful :-) Agree with Mako on the pepperoni pizza. |

Good fellowship, good humour, good terrain and miniatures, good food and no time limit or curfew from the significant other. Cheers and may all these be yours. Rod Robertson. |

Good games, big games, lots of fun, GM knows the rules Comfy chairs, lots of munchies and food no curfew, hilarious movies, everyone plays No politics, no bickering, GM's and other players always willing to show newbies how to play. Picnic lunches, heated pools, beer and wine and soda, and the games go on from dawn to dusk. If this is what you guys like, you all really should think about coming out to it next June in 201t. The 16th to 19th. |

The key to good night of wargaming is that it follows a full day of wargaming and precedes another day of gaming |
