The topic disappeared before I got the chance to thank everyone who responded. As always I got a lot of cool info that has been a great help, so thanks again!

What did you decide to do?

As tempting as it was to have minis of Tom Berenger and Martin Sheen playing Longstreet and Lee I think I'll stick with 15s for the time being. There are so many manufacturers that I should be able to get the variety of figures that I need. And there availability here in the US seems to be better than it is for 1/72nd.

But as it fell off the front page I just wanted to make sure that those that I was thanking saw my thanks.

I believe Battle Honors were sculpted by Anthony Barton before he started his own company. Eureka (and Eureka USA) sell AB ACW figures. These tend to be larger than Battle Honors and even better sculpted, and more expensive. They are sold by the individual figure, so you only buy what you need. The horses are exquisite. The fragile bayonets and flagpoles should not bother you since these are for dioramas.

Thanks vtsaogames, I'll be looking at them.
