I'm looking for the name of a Native American tribe that was located in the north of Maryland and associated with the surname Wyre. I was hoping if anyone would have any helpful information

Not sure about the Wyre connection..but here are the tribes traditionally associated with Maryland:

I recall that about 50 years ago in Northern Montgomery County in the Tutelo and Saponi area there was a small native tribal area along one of the back roads. Just a wide spot on the road with a few homes. I was very surprised to see that it did existed. Does anyone have any information that could confirm this?
