Which are your preferred rules for this period?

Intrepide25 Jun 2015 8:23 p.m. PST

Final Argument of Kings.

Long out of print I am sad to say.

John the OFM25 Jun 2015 9:41 p.m. PST

Warfare in the Age of reason.
Why? Because that's what we play, and understand.

Ditto 'Die Kriegskunst'. Plus seems to provide a fantastic narrative to our games, and we love a good story.

Maurice for small, Twilight of the Sun King for larger.

Our wargaming group is fond of Beyond the Lilly Banners.

This thread will become a list of every rules set in existence since Little Wars.

That's nice, Dal. Very, very nice.
(individually mounted figures on movement trays?)

Thanks, Gents. Quantity has a quality all of its own, doesn't it? There's so many figures you can't spot the sub-par paint jobs on the ones I painted. :-)

individually mounted figures on movement trays?

Yes, mate. Magnetic bases from Litko (10mm square for the infantry) make things a bit easier. They also keep them very stable in the steel-bottomed box files I use for storage/carriage.

Cheers.

Dal.

Kriegskunst, closely followed by Age of Reason.
For the Nine Years War we use BLB.

Geoffr03 Aug 2015 5:08 p.m. PST

Maurice! But maybe AOR again for a retro feel.
