Since the House of Haus sold the Frontier lines a few years ago there seems to be some sort of mystery about their availability. They had an e-mail address, but no one ever responded to any of my inquiries. I call twice, but was told the owner was busy and that I should call back later. They actually showed up at Little Wars last year, where I bought a ton of stuff, but then disappeared again. The owner told me that he'd had personal and health problems (which can really slow down one's business). Anyway, does anyone know if they are still in business, and if so, how does one get in touch with them to place an order? Thanks, Dan |

Tactical Edge out of Winter haven. Check the HMGS-South website and see if they are still on it. I see them every year at Recon and Hurridon in Tampa. They display at that show. I also see them at the Bayou Wars show in New Orleans in June. Time Portal Hobbies |

This topic has come up a number of times in the last several months. Apparently you can see him at some cons but there doesn't appear to be any reliable contact information available. Maybe he doesn't want/care about mail order business and is happy selling at a few cons. I don't know what else to conclude since he certainly doesn't advertise or make any attempt to let people know he is in business or how to contact him. |

It seems a real shame, as the Frontier line had some pretty interesting-looking figures and ranges. I hope the owner's health is better, but it would be nice to have some contact info to be able to buy his products. |

I've got about a dozen units that I'd like to finish from his figures. I always like Frontier figures for their "paintability". They seem much easier to paint than most figure lines, even one much more detailed, and look lots better than most when painted. I've got a ton of his ACW and AWI stuff, and if he'd stay available as a vendor, I'd love to do the War of 1812 with his figures. I did find a web site, but it did not indicate that it had been updated since 1999. Dan |

Frontier had/has some of the most unique miniatures around. I have also heard about the health problems of the gentleman who holds the molds, and that was a few years ago. I'd like to see Frontier back on the market again, too. |

YES fRONTIER GUY, PLEASE GET YOUR STUFF GOING AGAIN! I LIKED YOUR LINE ALSO BECAUSE IT WAS EASY TO PAINT. I HAVE A 25MM WAR COLLECTION I WOULD LIKE TO FINISH. |

I have some of the medievals and I must agree with the positive comments above. As bare metal they didn't look as detailed as their Ral Partha or Grenadier counterparts, but they painted up nice and added some much-needed variety to my units of one-pose Parthas. |

Guys! Calm down. Tactical Edge is owned by a low key guy with a big family who lives a fairly quiet life in Central Florida. He has a store about 6000 square feet and has a games day periodically. He has a .30 Cal sitting in front of his shop (which actually fires blanks propelled by air) very loudly) and a paintball field across the street which he seems to have access to and has a few destroyed planes in it. He has been casting Friontier for the last year and they look better than ever. I own 400 Mexicans for my Alamo collection and they paint up nicely. The new ones are cleaner than before. He will be at Recon in Tampa so grab a flight or a car and come on down. |

Man. If only he could make at least one trip to Texas, namely Fort Worth Wars in the fall. I'd be more than happy to do business with him. Any idea what Frontier ranges are still available in 25mm? Thanks! |

@ Paint God : thanks for the info! Realistically of course, not everyone can come down to Tampa, FLA, to see this guy in person. Doesn't he want to sell anything beyond what he gets at a few conventions? If he has a gaming store (sounds like a pretty BIG one!), surely he has some contact info for that?? A phone number/email/etc. by which his store can be contacted? Thanks again for any help you may be able to provide. (One of the many not able to get to Florida just to buy some figures!!) hehe |

Saginaw, tell what you are interested in and I will see if he will sell me some to take to the Fort Worth Wars show. I will see me (I hope) at the Recon show in Tampa. I normally only get the 15mm stock for my store. Yep Doug does have a large family with 4 boys (14 and less) at home. Time Portal Hobbies- |

Rudy, Do you know a way to contact him other than in person? A lot of people want his stuff but don't have any idea how to get hold of him. |

It'd be nice if he just answered an e-mail. That way you'd know that he is alive and still taking orders. I'd drop several hundred dollars to get what I need to finish some armies I have started with his figures, and would start a large War of 1812 period if I was sure he'd be selling figures for a year or two. Hard to understand why we, the customers, have to work so hard to buy his stuff. Dan |

Sorry but I only get calls from him or see at shows. I do not have a valid number. |
