I am in need of some 28mm mining gear to use as decorative stuff on some mine boards I'm making.
Things like shovels, pickaxes, lanterns, carts, etc.

I found a few (very few) places selling metal things, generally in 1/48 scale which is fine. But I'll need a lot of stuff, so metal prices are just out.

28mm, 1/48 scale, no-scale plastic toys, doesn't matter much.
Any suggestions?

Check with Ainsty. They have a large range of mine terrain. Also search for railroad equipment, there are a lot of stuff like that in O and S gauge.

Thanks for the suggestions!
I checked the model rail stuff, and it's real nice, but very expensive.
The Essex stuff looks great, thanks! Shipping makes them pricey, but not crazy I guess.
I'll check Ainsty, I didn't think of them.

We've got a pack of just those bits and pieces from Tiger, MPA01 at the bottom.

Also have miners, mules of all sorts and the Ainsty stuff too.

I think Pegasus puts out a mining set.
