Me and the guys played scenario 4 of the 29 Let's Go! Campaign on Sunday. Chip has outdone himself again with another war comic style report, which I've put a bit of commentary around on my blog here: link |

Nice write of the game. I will tell ya, my son and I just finished that campaign a week ago and we learned a lot from playing the campaign as oppose to playing a pick-up game; use of HE from tanks, A/T guns, etc., smoke, throwing grenades, use of tactical, overwatch and covering firing…oh and more smoke. I read several posts on the TFL forum on how to defeat Elites and almost any other infantry and that is the use of HE. If you are nor familiar with the HE stuff, you need to look that up. On your write-up you mentioned having not using A/T guns before, they are fine, but beware of the Germans using that darn I.E. 18 gun…deadly for the infantry. If you plan on playing the Old Hickory campaign, which we are doing now, the Americans have six A/T gun pieces to use. Good luck on the campaign. P. |

Yep HE is definitely the way to go. We were lucky to catch the entire US platoon in one spot. We have learnt heaps playing the campaign – it would be great to go back and play the earlier scenarios again sometime. |
