No? I didn't think so. grin

SYW Prussian dragoons with the muskets cut down are your best bet at the moment. I think Alan Perry has said he will make some, but when is another question. I would imagine Fife & Drum would be keen to include them in their Philadelphia-based AWI range.

Seems like nothing has been released by Perry, Fife & Drum or Kings Mountain in a long time.

So weren't they mounted just to get somewhere, dismount and fight on foot? I seem to recall Ewald was mounted at some point due to an injury.

Very true. And that is why I want mounted figures.
The 7th Cavalry were dismounted at the Last Stand, but that's no reason to not have mounted cavalry. grin

I have been doing a lot of 1:1 AWI gaming lately, and they would come in handy in this situation.

John,

Although not compatible size-wise with more modern figures, and hard to find, are the Custom Cast mounted figures carrying a saber with a slung musket and wearing a tricorn. I use mine as a small unit of Tory dragoons.

Second picture in this blog post.

And if anyone has four extras they are willing to sell, I can use them to bring the unit up to my standard cavalry unit strength of 18 figures.

I used to have a lot of those figures but like you said they are too small to fit in with today's ranges.

I just give mine coconuts. :-)

Daaah!
Na nit na nah!
Na nit na nah!
Na nit na nah!

That will have to do until I get the right figures.

I painted MINIFIGs 25mm Spanish Napoleonic line cavalry figures as AWI mounted Hessian jaegers.

Since they are a skirmishing unit, the difference in size with 28mm figures in line units is not too noticeable on the tabletop.

Well, that's an idea John.

Hainna?
