Just received the July copy of Wargames Illustrated and an article on the 95th Rifles. A phrase on page 96 caught my eye and now has me worried…. ' …..the riflemen occupying an adjacent area called the sandpit molested the gunners, disallowing them to fire….' Molested? Really? How do we game this? Are there suitable Minatures available? Is the incident a war crime? Poor writing IMHO Bc1745 |

It sounds like a translation; 'disallowing' is odd also. Of course 'molest' in the sense we use it today is a euphemism similar to 'assault,' 'interfere with,' or 'outrage' -- the dictionary definition is one thing, the usage another. |

Weak editing too. But then nobody has time for proper editing these days. |

Regardless that "molest" has been pretty much co-opted as a synonym for "inappropriate touching", that just SOUNDS wrong. |

How did the gunners feel about that? |

They could also be "amusing" the gunners. |
