Just an FYI, there are a couple of new models of the Avenger's Quinjet at Walmart (I suspect other toy stores too). Looks like they would also be great for 15mm scale Dropships, and they are a little flatter, and sleeker than the previous models. One comes in a sealed, black box, with a motorcycle showing through a clear plastic window. It is the more expensive model ($29.99 at Walmart), but if I got these right, looks to be the more attractive variant, shown below:
Can't tell the size of it, sadly, since it is sealed, so if anyone owns one of these, I'd appreciate info on length and wingspan.
There's a second model also available, in packaging with a clear plastic front to it (I believe this one is the Hot Wheels variant), with is listed for $19.99 USD at Walmart. It looks quite nice too, and has an impressive wingspan. Didn't have a measuring tape, so don't know how big it is, but suspect it is 12+ inches in span (possibly 14 – 15 inches in wingspan):
So, a few more options for your local 15mm Spaceport scenery, or aircraft to provide support to your grunts on the ground. |

Got the top one. I've found it very average, and not as good as the quinjet toys from the first film. It's also not as high build quality, very poor detail underneath, but then its cheaper and will look fine with a lick of paint. |

Yea, I thought the quality looked to be a little lower. I do really like the shape of the top one though. Can you tell me how long and wide it is? |

Yep, once home I'll get the tape measure out. BTW the wings are slotted in to the hull, not something clear on the box. In Australia for a bit more cash you can get a giant size Thunderbird 2 from the new tv show. These are miles better than any quinjet for 15mm gaming. link |

Not sure those figures are in scale with Thunderbird 4, but a nice model nevertheless. I'm sure the quintets would make good scenery, but for £15.00 GBP+ and a lot of work to do on the model, I think I will pass. |

That's the one I have. The price has dropped quite a bit since it's release. The one on the blister pack is a bit different but also nice. They look great together. |

Thanks for posting the pic with the troops. Looks to me like you could use it as is on the tabletop. Of course, with a better paintjob, a nice wash, and some drybrushing, you could really bring out all that superb panel line and engine intake detailing. |

I'm with Mako11. Thanks, DuBray! On the other end of the tabletop, a place to run. 'Our ticket out of here!' Doug |
