Zaloga is indeed a treasure. And a nice guy, too!

I have been a fan of his work for decades. I can hardly count how many of his books and articles I have.

Excellent link, many thanks. Got to hear Mr Zaloga at an IPMS National convention one year on the topic of US tank colors and camo in WW II and as engaging a speaker as he is a writer. Also very gracious and stood around chatting with folks for quite sometime after the presentation.

Just finished reading it and really liked what he had to say about the Sherman's and her crews and the German tanks and their crews. Good stuff.

Someone should start a foundation to get the tank collections taken over by historians and not the Army.

Really a terriable waste.

Zaloga always an interesting read though a bit pro-allied (I bit of a relief after years of the opposite bias). Look forward to his latest book.
