Printing Scenario Maps with Poster Software

You've got a scenario map, and you need to create some hills. Is there some way to just print out the map in very large scale, so you can trace the outline of the hills you need to build? The Editor finds out...

I had opportunity to visit Otto Schmidt's THE WEEKEND convention/gathering of like minded souls for a day trip last Saturday, and ended up in a very engaging battle of I Leonardo. Events and observations HERE: link

A good time was had by all, but I admit much of it was taken up with hanging out and talking with people I rarely see in person.

Thank you for your time and interest

Walt

Dear Walt

Thanks for the nice review. Glad you could make it.

I would like to copy your Mr. Niz article for the After Action Report/ Keepsake booklet we put out. May I have your permission to do so?

Thanks again

Otto

Otto:

By all means, make use of it as you will.

I know Otto was fretting over a few last minute cancellations of GMs and their games. However, I had a great time and did a lot of wargaming at the Weekend. My biggest complaint is that there is always something real good going on while I'm running my games. (It's my complaint every year). The Leonardo game and the big Samurai game were good examples of that.

So a SciFi theme next year huh, Otto? Hmmmm……..

Dear Bowman

People are complaining that the movies are getting repetitive, and I am trying to justify using some of the clunkers from sci-fi in public domain.

Besides, themes mean everything. I'll put on seven years war, people will put on whatever they want. It's just an excuse to change the cover art on the bulletins and on the After Action Report/Keepsake booklet.

I also attended The Weekend for the first time accompanied by my 16- and 12-year old sons, and we all had a wonderful time. I ran (not all that well) an introductory game of Mustangs & Messerschmitts, in which the players were very good sports, and got to play two ACW and an ECW game. My sons played in two sessions of a "miniature-ized" (which ironically involved substantial upscaling of the original SPI game) After the Holocaust, and many others besides.

Great time; if we're all spared, we're all looking forward to next year.

I was going to go, committed to go, my wife's little dog had major surgery the week before so I was unable to go (he had his eyes removed due to painful glaucoma but is now a happy blind little dog- he always was blind so that was no change). I was going to run a Crimean war ponderosa game, 1200 troops- (48000) men. And kill as many non Anglo Saxons in Saga massacres as I could. I'd rather go to a show like this than the mega shows. (I have a service dog and she always always gets stepped on petted stroked poked etc regardless of the 4 inch x 7 inch sign " service dog do not pet!")

Since you couldn't be there, please rest assured that Mark Pino's Anglo-Saxons massacred my Welsh. You'd have been proud. wink
