Hey there all.

Just working on my Warhammer project, I'm making my way through all the terrain and buildings first and then I will be painting armies.

Here's my progress after a couple months of working on and off. I completed a Citadel Realm of Battle Board, an Empire village, some river sections, walls, a well, and some barricades/supplies.

I'll be posting more pictures as I progress. Please feel free to give me feedback, positive or otherwise!

The pictures are all set to public viewing, but Flickr has been acting a bit buggy lately, some members have had trouble viewing pictures from the links. Let me know if you have any issues viewing them.

Looks very nice to me.

What are you using for the river effect on the larger river? I can always use a new idea for water as I never seem satisfied with results.

Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated.

@x42brown,

The rivers were done on 2 x 2 square gypsum panels. The banks are just wall filler scraped into river bank shapes.

The water effect was really easy, I got the technique from a Youtube channel named Terranscapes. He also runs a website where he professionally makes and sells terrain.

The river bed is simply painted in a very dark color mix of blue, green, and black. I then got a large bottle of gloss Mod Podge which is used for sealing pictures and puzzles, things like that.

Here's a link to it. You can get it at pretty much any dept. or craft store;

All you do is take like a 1" craft brush, and pour some of the Mod Podge into the river bed. Then you take the brush and make a back and forth dabbing motion, going in the direction of the river and making sure that it follows the curves. I just kept going forward until the river bed was completely covered in the Mod Podge. It is white when it's wet but it dries completely clear and highly glossy. Stuff is amazing, and considering that it's water cleanup on top of it, I'll NEVER go back to messing with those clear resins or resin water effects!!

Mod Podge is also pretty cheap for the volume, I bought one 16 oz. bottle and I was able to do over eight feet worth of 4" wide rivers and I still have a good deal of the bottle left.

Here is a link to two of the Terranscapes videos where he shows the results of different products for achieving water effects and also demonstrates how to apply it. This guy is amazing, I've learned so much from him, it's just been invaluable;
