I'm in South Africa for a few days at the end of the week for work. I have the weekend in Cape Town – are there any wargaming/miniatures/hobby shops I should visit? I'm 15mm historical exclusively, so GW, for example, won't float my boat. Thanks in advance. |

There are two shops for GW products and some others for plastic 1:72 / 1:48 etc. The best that you can hope for is Plastic Soldier Company 15mm. GW and FoW is fairly popular as is card games like Magic. Rather go see Table Mountain or the Winelands. |

There used to be a great little model shop in Simonstown, the naval base at the end of the peninsular, I was last there in 2005… |

Thanks Sparker – won't have time to get to Grahamstown. Jacques, I can think of lots of other good things to do in Cape Town, as you suggest. just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing a hidden gem. Guess I'll just hit the bookshops on Langstraat on Saturday. :-) |
