The first 15mm Sci-Fi vehicle with four different variants by Daemonscape you know them they are the guys who are now producing the old GZG Ranges, i really like the hull but not so much the turrets i think it has loads of penitential with maybe some different turrets from other manufacturers. The Tank hunter is the best looking variant out of the four in my opinion but having said that the Tank hunter turret with the Flak AA guns and a rear mounted radar dish or dome would also look cool, and at £8.00 GBP its reasonably priced to. :) Zac

They have a Panzer '46 flare. I do see the same potential to adapt them to other universes. With some minor mods you could even use them in a future or distant future war scenario.

I thought Heer '46 too.

Those turrets are begging for some extra modifications, rigging, and webbing! I think they look pretty sweet!

I found some painted up versions of this model and i also noticed the cable detail on the hull as well as the ladder runs.

Yep, unpainted and I was not the bit interested but the painted versions have now piqued my interest and the AAA tank would be a useful addition to my People's Republican Guard forces on the war torn planet of Morgen. (home of Mazzengaville)
Thanks for the heads up.

Hm. The artillery pieces are straying into GW territory, for me – the barrels just look too dang big. The tank hunter looks a bit more realistically like a self-propelled howitzer of some kind.

Not really my cup o' tea, but I'll be watching to see what else they can come up with in 15mm.

Well other than the ex-GZG alien ground and air vehicles stuff there is mention on the Daemonscape site of some new 15mm buildings, i'll also be watching out for these i just hope they are modern so that they can also be used in near future settings.

It does loo like it throws dustbins at people, I have to say: it's be a 400mm breechloading mortar or something. On that basis I could live with the short one (sort of sub-Sturmtiger) but the long one is a bit much I will admit grin

To some they maybe exceptable but to others not so much i guess it all boils down to personal taste and what setting or universe you want to use these tanks in. But as i mentioned in my original post i think that the tank hulls look great but i wasn't overly impressed with the turrets so my thinking is to buy just the X1 tank hull from Daemonscape and then purchase some alternative turrets from another manufacturer maybe from Combat wombat or Brigade models as i know that if you ask either of them nicely they will sell you just about any individual item that they produce thus creating a unique custom tank. :) Zac

Don't forget Old Crow. He's still in business and if you email him he can take care of your order. His turrets are really nice.

Being a man of my word i have gone ahead and purchased two of these Daemonscape X1 tank chassis that Terry was kind enough to sell me separately for £4.50 GBP each, after a quick rummage around i found a couple of Brigade models Thor tank turrets i was looking for from a dead project and i think they will match up with the Daemonscape tank hulls very well indeed. When the hulls arrive i will do a quick dry run of how i want the tanks to look and create a basic fluff text for them. :) Zac

Thor turret on the XI tank hull, sorry about the poor photoshop effort, but you get the general idea of how i want this custom tank to look.As for fluff text something along the lines of: Last of the old German tracked Leopard 6-A second line tanks pressed back into service by the Polish boarder guard, still equipped with the trusted mark-1 particle canon and two heavy machine guns but with a modern electronics package and boasting an extra three tons of plate armour….

Hi, Thanks for the piece on my new tanks. They were always supposed to look overpowered and super heavy and the unpainted pictures don't do them justice. I have a smaller medium tank on the bench at the moment that might see the light of day by Xmas. I'm more working on buildings at the moment with the first (a nissen hut )finished and waiting moulding. Once it is moulded it will get several face lifts to turn it into a variety of sci-fi buildings. At the moment I have the idea for a Bio hazard lad and an alternative cult church. any other ideas welcome.
