I'd like to have some post-apocalypse landmark buildings for my tabletop. Has anyone seen an O-scale Capitol Building, White House, or similar iconic building? It doesn't even have to be Washington D.C (although recreating fallout 3 capitol wasteland on the tabletop would be amazing). If not, anything close enough to form the basis of a conversion? |

Not sure how they would size up or if the lines would be a problem, but maybe those 3D puzzle buildings would work. A quick search on Amazon showed quite a few in different sizes and cost. |

Those buildings would be huge in O scale. It would be nice if someone made them though. |

Part of it is that those buildings are extremely limited in use. You aren't going to always want it on the table, and you aren't going to want more than one. At the same time, there are a lot of the wooden "architectural puzzles" that are straightforward to assemble that work rather well for the scale. |

You could also use a burnt-out White House model for your War of 1812 scenarios too. |

I can't think of any Capitol buildings that are made in o-scale. It would take up your entire gaming table. If you're willing to go for just a very interesting eye-catching model, consider the following options. 1) As well as a municipal buldings like courthouses or old-style firehouses consider one of the ornate train station models that are currently made. And consider HO scale as well as O. Large HO buildings are so big that often they look great in 28mm just by removing the doors. I've got a 4 bay engine shed in HO scale that makes a great 28mm factory. Here's a couple possibilities in HO link link link link link A couple in O, link link Really the Walthers catalog is filled with interesting possibilities. 2)Dust Tactics Warzone Tenement kits can be the basis of a very stately urban structure. 3) Pegasus Gothic Buidling kits can be the basis for great Church, Government or Educational buildings. |

The Terrain Tutor, on his YouTube channel, scratch-built a White House for a Mars Attacks demo game and has three or four videos detailing his build. He had to make some concessions in size, so it would be a playable terrain piece, but the end result was rather impressive. Cannot provide a link, as at work, but the playlist was titled "Mars Attacks Olympus Has Fallen" or some variation on that. Hope that provides useful. |

Multiverse Gaming (www.multiversegamingterrain.com) is releasing some 28-35mm iconic skyscrapers (like Fyfe Aparments in Detroit) this July – the buildings will use a system of rare earth magnets to allow for easy storage and transport:
