I have two different regular human type forces for 15 mm Science fiction gaming and a Robotic force which are my Alien or Faceless Mega Corporate forces, but I do not have figures as of yet that would represent that archetype of the scruffy rebel/fed up colonial citizens, or citizens earth side that have had enough and just aren't going to take it anymore. So I am not looking for religious militant types but that civilian turned paramilitary. I believe Khurasan Miniatures have something that fits the bill but would like to know of others as I want to try and have few repeats in figures. Also what would you suggest in terms of possible ad hoc vehicles/technicals? Let the fun begin. |

Zombiesmith has a whole range of protestors, rioters and riot police (or it may be Flytrap? but Zombiesmith definitely carry the range). You have to get a whole bunch of them though |

Are the images of the trucks matchbox cars? Those look great! Wow seems there ARE lots of options. |

J.T. Great work. Thanks for the pics. The vehicles are great, seeing matchbox in a whole other light. |

Those last last few are Matchbox as are the Hovercraft (vintage ones in their case). The two silver 4x4s have had extra stowage added to the roof – they came with it moulded on like the blue tracked vehicle – have a look at this page on my site for Matchbox ideas link But here are some others from those pages:
The others – the 6x6 and the blue ones – are Old Crow, as I recall. Here some GZG items

Hi Kallman We (Flytrap Factory) have our Lawfighter Range in 15mm (Carried in the US by Zombiesmith)
Tha packs do contain a lot of figures (suitable to reflect this kind of activity/event) but no more than say your average platoon or thereabout of other troops. Hope this helps! Cheers Anton |

Ooooh, the vehicle at the rear of Anton's last post is another matchbox, BTW
And an excellent one, to boot. I assume the police cruiser is something similar as well but can't say (as I haven't got one!) John T |

Bang on the money John No point in making our own line for that range with the wealth of options already readily available, nice and cheaper than I could possibly hope to manufacture them for. :)

Ditto JT on that particular vehicle. Loads of other good options kicking about depending upon the setting you are after.

Oddzial Osmy's insurgents are my favorite 15mm sci-fi insurgents/paramilitary types. link (15 mm)&n=Insurgents I (6pcs.)&m=0 |

Picked up a number of Matchbox yesterday and in fact see some of those same models in the photos above. It comes down to looking at particular types, mostly truck and utility vechicles that have the right feel of scale. That and carry a 15/18mm figure in your pocket to make some comparisons. The good folks on the 15 mm Science Fiction Face book site provided some excellent instruction on converting the Matchbox and HotWheels vehicles. I also found a pack of Matchbox construction vehicles with a heavy fork lift, land grader, bulldozer, heavy pick up truck and a water tanker truck that will soon add to the urban Science Fiction war torn environment. Baron Flytrap, LOVE those figures! I will head over to Zombie Smith to look them over.Gringnotage I have an entire large platoon of the Oddzial Osmy's NVL as one of my human regular infantry. They currently serve as my futuristic Blue forces. I agree their insurgents are just as nice. The only issue I have with Oddzial's figures is the metal they use in their casting while hard as steel nails is also brittle if you try to fix a bent weapon or a leaning figure. I had a couple just snap off at the ankles when I tried to fix them. Otherwise beautiful figures. ArmiesArmy! Wow! Just bookmarked your website and looking forward to seeing those figures you posted picture of above. Nice looking vehicles. Too bad you are on the other side of the pond. Shipping could be a bit prohibitive. |
