I would have thought it would be texting. I have seen people walk into walls because they were so fix on reading a text or answering one. |

We've had people run over by cars because they can't bother to look before they walk into the street. |

Not quite as far fetched as it seems. Apparently the radio room on the Titanic was so busy sending personal messages for passengers that they didn't manage to receive and process warnings about icebergs spottings on their course. Chris |

Saw a woman walk into a busy street the other day while texting. Fortunately for her the driver of the car wasn't texting. |

I always thought it was the U-Boat commanded by Nazi-Zombies torpedoed it. |

On a semi-related note: I saw an idiot yesterday who was sitting on the edge of a railway platform, dangling his legs over the edge, headphones on and nose into a book… I considered letting the near-silent 80 mph Class 66 oil train loco hit him to teach him a lesson… But decided that I should probably warn him, even though I was off-duty. Needless to say, it took several shouts of ever-increasing volume, to get him to even look up. And of course, the attitude was one of 'what's that interfering jobsworth shouting at me for?!' Next time I'll just let him explode into body-parts at the sharp end of 50 tons of 80mph steel. |
