Great report Norm despite the sodium lighting. |

Thanks Jim, if I could get close enough to the subject (under 1 foot) my LED's seemed to counter the sodium, but any shooting across the table – no chance :-) |

Great show. Seemed a lot busier than the last few years. I hate those lights! |

It was my first time at the show as a trader (Eagle Figures) and it was a great show. Well organised, well attended and really friendly and overall enjoyable. Yes the lighting isn't the best but I've attended shows that are a lot worse. Ian |

I had a great show as a trader, but glad somebody mentioned the lights – I didn't notice them "live", but I had a panic setting up that my phone had broke as the screen was blue, and all the pictures orange :D Annie The Dice Bag Lady |

Just to add to the lighting thing (not sure where else to put it!) I sell LED flickering explosion lights, when I was setting up I turned on one for display and was horrified to find it was bright yellow, and not warm orange, tested random ones from the box….they're all yellow! whaaat! So I took them off sale. Went to demonstrate in the office this morning that my lights are all rubbish, and they're fine again, back to orange :D Must have been the lighting in the hall, bizarre! Is it some sort of UV? Annie |

The sodium gives a yellow hue and effects white balance. Your LED's would have been lit at 5700 Kelvin for an equivalent of 'daylight', but probably were swamped by the sodium effect. I was using bright LED with the camera, anything close up was not too bad, but over a couple of feet and the floodlights won! |

I thoroughly enjoyed the show, it was nice to see some new traders there even if I'm afraid I didn't have much in the way of spare cash. One thing I did notice was that there were several traders selling the same things, not just similar things but identical sets. Warlord and 4Ground were the most obvious examples. I hope we're not going to see too much more duplication. |

I'll agree with the fact that resellers are going to kill shows. I'm not going to drive 80 miles just to buy stuff I can get locally….at the same price. But, a good show with a fun participation game. My only two criticisms are these: 1) "Plentiful parking" is anything but. I turne dup at 10:20am and already I had to park in the nearby housing estate. Not sure anything can be done about this but thought I'd mention it. 2) Catering – the burger van needs help! It shouldn't take half an hour to get served… Apart from that, pretty good – and look forward to next year… But please, if Warlord are there, do we need another four stalls selling EXACTLY THE SAME STUFF AT THE SAME PRICE? |

Great report. I went to one of the early Phalanx shows but only that one so it looks as though I made a wrong choice there. Thanks for sharing Craig |
