Flat everything, unless it is supposed to be shiny like water or eyes or something.

Entire figure flat.

I've always sprayed the completed figure with a flat finish, until the last 3-4 months. Recently, I've been experimenting with going back afterwards and adding a satin or gloss finish to things that might not be totally flat. I have never considered shields to be shiny, though. Of course the shields I do are for Vikings, who painted the colorfully (we think), and are not supposed to look like polished metal.

Why would a shield be shiny anyway?

I finish nearly everything in gloss, so I guess the latter for me!

Bandolier20 Jun 2015 9:41 a.m. PST

Same as the rest of the figure.

I like my Samurai armour to be glossy or satin to mimic the lacquer finish. Otherwise I prefer everything matte.

Flat.
