Updates to Tournaments, Seminars, Hobby University and regular Games. MAPS now included. Go here to investigate: link Also I took the time to ACTUALLY COUNT EVENTS BY PERIOD, and the truth of Historicals versus non-Historicals may shock and confound you!
Anyway, enjoy! See you at HISTORICON 2015 |

*sigh* Only 4-1. FOUR TO ONE. That means for every four glorious heroic historic reimaginings, theres one blasphemous insidious NON-HISTORICAL tainting our children from their pure intentions. Games that require *gasp* the putrid intellectual malaise of imagination. Games that are SIMPLY meant to be fun. PURGE THE HERETICS. PUT TO THE FIRE THE UNCLEAN. Before their corruption spreads to those of good character and intent. This message was brought to you by the 'No One Expects the Spanish Inquisition' PAC. Vote Torquemada today! Thank you for your kind consideration. |

Gnomes aren't historical? Well, learn something new every day. Walt, as always, thanks for your efforts. If I have already downloaded the app, do I need to do anything special to update? |

Mark: Just open up the Guidebook app and select "Download guides" search for HISTORICON. Download guide (that's the part I made). Open up and it's done. I'll have a few more happy to glad changes leading up to the convention. All you have to do is open up the guidebook app in a wireless signal and it will tell you there are updates and should you apply them now? Say yes. Walt |

Thanks, Demi. Frankly, as soon as I discovered the Guidebook company a while back, I thought it was a good fit for the kind of shows we do. HMGS needs to be dragged into the 21st century with this kind of social media capable electronic assistance. Above and beyond what GB does to service the existing membership, I think it's an attractive marketing tool for the shows themselves; it shows that HMGS is capable of innovating .. and who knows, maybe it will sell the shows to new people. If the LEAST GB does is make things easier for our existing members, that's still a win. I appreciate the compliment but what I do is hardly possible without the events guy, the vendors guy, the tournaments guy, the Hobby university gal, and the CD feeding me the information I need to put it all together. The REAL hard work is there. Walt |
