For those of you using DAS clay for your terrain and basing projects… how do you store the unused portion so that it doesn't "air dry"? |

Tupperware but only with limited success x42 |

Still in its aluminum foil package in a Ziplock bag in the basement. |

The recommendation that I'd read is in some sort of screw top jar (plastic or glass) with a wide enough 'throat' and a wet rag stuffed in the top to act as extra moisture retention/wetness reservoir. The longest I kept it like that was a year or so. Haven't used DAS in a while I (which is a shame as I really like it in the right circumstances). John T |

I have just used some DAS that I have owned going on for about five years which is still good. I wrap the original package in a plastic bag and then put that in a ziplock bag and store it in a cupboard in my lounge. |

Yea, just keep in a cool, dark place. Extra plastic could help keep it from drying out, so the ziplock idea is a good one – use the better, thicker bags, like the quart, gallon, or two gallon ones. |

I've been using ziplock carefully closed to elections minute excess. My clay is still good ~10 months after opening. |
