Today I've got a little change of pace from my recent sci-fi projects.

A couple weeks ago my friend gave me the terrain pieces from the Reaper "Dragons Don't Share" set.
Despite a couple minor flaws, this is a very impressive terrain set that paints up a treat and by virtue of being sectioned should prove quite versatile. Full pics and review here:

You did a great job on that. Did you find that it was warped (mine is) and if so, did you attempt to reform it back to its correct shape?

I have not finished mine yet but mine is really warped

As I say in the blog post mine was warped and the boiling water method didn't flatten it out so I glued it to a hardwood base.

I did boiling water, straighten, then dunk in ice water. Seemed to work. I'll probably have to pin, rubber band, and glue the two-part top section though, even after the water treatment the two pieces did not mesh perfectly.

Glad to hear it. Even if it had straitened out I probably would have based it. I'd always be worried that it would get hot someday and warp back and it's easier to glue down before paint rather than after.

I didn't mention it in the post, but the join for the 2-part upper tower was also quite off on mine. However, by supergluing it on the end that met best and then slowly gluing it up a bit at a time I was able to do it all by hand with superglue.

Bones pvc bonds really strong and reasonably quickly with CA.

Those look great. I wonder if the terrain pieces are available separately.

I guess not right now; I checked the Reaper Miniatures terrain section.

Thank you,
That was my thought as well regarding selling it separately. $75 USD is a fair price for the set but a bit much for those who just want terrain. However, it sold for $35 USD in the Kickstarter, so if you ask around you may find folks willing to part with theirs for significantly less than retail.

Good Luck!
